Sometimes, we've gone as far as we can on our own. And that's okay. Because there is surprising power in recognizing a need for support outside ourselves.
Therapy is about identifying and creating the conditions for growth and change. That insurmountable experience you're facing? Let's transform it into a catalyst for progress.
You bring your dreams for what comes next and your understanding of what gets in the way; together, we will figure out the rest.
Because I will adapt my practice to engage us in a way that makes sense to you and your mind.
I operate from a neuro-informed perspective, meaning I incorporate elements of (and obstacles to) the brain's functioning into our work. A vast amount of clinical issues can be better understood and addressed trough a neuroscientific lens, including traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress, substance use, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
I cannot comprehend not considering what is happening in the brains and bodies of my clients. It is empowering to understand how our body's natural processes can become dysregulated and contribute to ongoing struggle. I am no stranger to the phrase, "So, you mean, I'm not crazy?" Providing a physiological rationale for mental health challenges reduces stigma, makes mental health more tangible, and alleviates the blame and shame around our experiences.
I offer individual, couples, and family therapy sessions. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, the impact of trauma across the lifespan, and healing unstable relationships. I have extensive experience with first-responder, neurodiverse, foster-care, formerly incarcerated, and LGBTQIA+ populations. I welcome clients ages 15 and up.
